Privacy Policy

The short version

VibeCheck is a free, no-account quiz for entertainment. You answer a few questions, get a vibe profile, and can share it with friends. We keep only the information needed to make that work — nothing more.

What we collect

Your quiz answers: used on the spot to work out your vibe profile. We do not store your individual answers. The finished profile — its title, observations, and dimension scores — is saved under a short share code so that the link you send works for whoever opens it.

Purchase details: if you unlock Premium, the payment is handled by Stripe. We receive and store your email address, the amount paid, and a payment reference so we can restore your unlock later. Your card number never reaches us.

Device storage: your browser keeps a small amount of data — a random device identifier and your Premium status — so we can remember your unlock and let you resume an unfinished quiz. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Basic usage counts: anonymous events such as "quiz started" or "result shared", with no name or contact details attached.

How we use it

To generate your profile, to deliver Premium and restore it on a new device, to keep the app working, and to understand which parts people enjoy. We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

Stripe processes payments on our behalf, and our hosting and infrastructure providers run the app itself. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Beyond that, nobody else receives your information.

How long we keep it

A shared profile stays available for as long as its link works. Purchase records are kept while they are needed to honour your unlock. Usage counts are kept in aggregate, with nothing that identifies you.

Your choices

You can clear your browser data at any time to reset the device, and you can delete your purchase record or a shared profile yourself from the delete page.

Deleting your data

Deletion is self-serve. You can remove your purchase record, a shared profile, or the data stored on your device at any time — no account needed, and no email to us required.

Children

VibeCheck is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will remove the data.

Entertainment only

Your result is generated for fun. It is not a psychological assessment, a diagnosis, or professional advice of any kind.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
